Oracle BAM 12c: The Real-Time Intelligence

Oracle Business Activity Monitoring (BAM) which is a key component of Oracle Business Process Management (BPM) and Oracle Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and is being used to monitor business processes in real time so as to make informed tactical and strategic business decisions. Oracle BAM analyzes data before, throughout and after business process events.

As a business owner/executive, the use of Oracle BAM in the enterprise gives you the ability to monitor business processes and services. The new Oracle Business Activity Monitoring (BAM) 12C release is completely redesigned with a new user interface (UI) making it consistent with other related Fusion Middleware products. Oracle adopted the Oracle Application Development Framework (ADF) Data Visualization Tool (DVT) components for BAM 12c and this offers an insightful visualizations that includes dashboards, KPI watch lists, tree maps, bar charts, pie charts, bubble charts, scatter charts, etc.
Also, BAM built-in Continuous Query Language (CQL) engine evaluates inward bound event streams alongside business requirements and data patterns of interest. With these data patterns, alerts and actions can be designed to notify users, launch web services as well as record data.

BAM 12C re-engineering was done to provide scalability, tight integration with Oracle with Oracle BPM and Oracle SOA as well as easy management of server(s).

The new release offers the following:
•    Event Stream Analytics and Alerts
•    Process Analytics and Dashboards
•    Business-Friendly Charts
•    Enterprise Grade Infrastructure

Oracle incorporates components such as the Oracle Complex Event Processing Service Engine for real-time data analysis, the Oracle Application Development Framework for data presentation, and Oracle Coherence for active data caching.
